Jimmy Kimmel weight loss diet has become become famous globally due to his amazing weight transformation.
Jimmy Kimmel, American late-night talk-show host and comedian is one of the renowned men in television. The producer and host of Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealed that he is an absolute foodie.
Kimmel revealed that his favourite foods when he was younger were steak, pasta, and wings. As he grew older, his cravings for unhealthy foods became uncontrollable. He was even oblivious of his weight, not until he purchased his first scale and was taken aback to discover he weight a whopping 208 pounds. This was in 2010.

Television personality and cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Oz has appeared on Kimmel’s show at about the time. Dr. Oz even mocked Kimmel over his lack of exercise and unhealthful eating. Kimmel merely reacted by making a joke out of it. Kimmel revealed that Dr.Oz called him the following day and strongly advised him on his poor health. After that encounter with Dr. Oz, Kimmel worked on improving his health.
Jimmy Kimmel changed his eating habits and began taking two protein shakes and a smaller dinner. He then proceeded to a strict diet that consisted of 2000 calories per day. He noticed considerable improvement in his weight and lost about 25 pounds.

Then he discovered another popular weight loss method that involves intermittent fasting called 5:2 diet. Most celebrities including Beyoncé , are on the 5:2 diet.
While on the 5:2 diet, Kimmel eats any food of his choice for five days a week and then eats less than 500 calories on two other days. Kimmel’s two restriction days are Monday and Tuesday where he drinks coffee and eat pickles, apples, egg whites, oatmeal, and peanut butter.
Kimmel divulged that the severe calorie restriction on 5:2 diet has helped him to lose 28 pounds and maintain a healthy 182 pounds. He said he now appreciates good food now that he is on this highly restrictive diet.
Even though the 5:2 intermittent fasting diet worked for Kimmel, some experts warned that this method of weight loss should be avoided by people who are diabetic and those with weak immune system. Also pregnant women and nursing mothers are advised not to engage in any form of intermittent fasting for weight loss.
For people who are not affected by this categories, the 5 days that aren’t restricted should be for healthy-nutrient dense foods.
